Welcome Home
My Grandma is moving tomorrow to a senior living complex. This is a decision that took her years to come to. But now, she’s raring to go live there. In honor of this momentous occasion, I decided to make her a card! She really enjoys it when I give her my handmade cards. I think this one turned out pretty cute too!
I had to borrow the Neighborhood wheel from my friend as I don’t have any stamps related to a house! I used whisper white to create the card then added some blue DP that I had for the ‘sky’. I rolled the stamp out with versamark then added silver embossing powder. At the last minute, I decided to cut out a couple of houses and the clouds. I’m glad I did! I actually messed up a couple of times on this card. Shhh! When I was doing the circle punch, since we have the creative memories brand, I accidentally cut out both the holes! I sneakily covered up the mistake hole with the grass and another piece of paper on the inside. My other mistake is underneath the blue Happy Day saying. My first try I rocked the stamp and it said Happy doy. Not good. I used Figures of Speech to make the little flowers. I just left out the saying that goes around it!
The recipe:
Stamps: Neighborhood, Figures of Speech, Doodle wings (Stampendous)
Paper: Whisper white, wild wasabi, blue DP
Ink: Versamark, versamagic (Spanish olive)
Accessories: silver embossing powder, scissors (to cut the grass and houses), circle punch
