Spring Butterfly

Last night was my once a month card class held by my Stampin’ Up Demonstrator.  The above card is what we made!  Isn’t it cute?  It was actually quite involved.  Many steps!  First off she had me dry emboss the confetti white cardstock with the Pick a Petal brass template.  Next step was to use the color spritzer tool with certainly celery and bashful blue markers.

For the butterfly we stamped the wings using the Pick a petal set with Certainly celery, Bashful blue and some clear embossing powder sor a shiny effect.  The body of the butterfly is simply a dressmakers pin with beads from walmart.  To get the beads to stay on, before I put the last one on, I stuck the needle end up the glue gun then put the last bead on!

This ribbon is simply white grosgrain that I colored the edges with Certainly celery.  Pretty easy card, just time consuming! Here’s a close up of the spritzing and the butterfly.

Recipe:

Stamps: Pick a Petal
Paper: Confetti white, Whisper white
Inks: Certainly celery, bashful blue
Accessories: dressmaker pin, beads, clear embossing powder, certainly celery marker, bashful blue marker, color spritzer tool, white ribbon, Pick a petal brass template
